About the Course

Goal

Take learners from their first "Guten Tag" to a functional CEFR A1 speaker equipped for everyday survival communication — a focused, fast-track foundation in Deutsch built through interactive lessons, practical exercises, and real-life conversation with native-speaking educators.

Building Blocks and First Encounters

The alphabet, Umlaute, and classroom survival phrases open the course, followed by formal and informal greetings, personal pronouns, and the verb sein. Numbers, W-questions, and vital data lead into nationalities, languages, and regular verb conjugation, with a first taste of the DACH region's dialects. Family vocabulary introduces grammatical gender and possessives, before big numbers, the verb haben, and a first written profile close the foundation stage.

Everyday Life in Focus

Grocery shopping brings articles and plurals, while the Accusative case and möchten carry learners into restaurant ordering. Describing an apartment, mastering kein/keine versus nicht, and decoding rental classifieds ground the language in daily living, followed by a midterm review of clock time, separable verbs, and a speaking examination. Work vocabulary, modal verbs können and müssen, and professional email templates lead into leisure, strong verbs, further modals (wollen, möchten), and weather phrases.

Travel, the Past and the Final Assessment

Mass transit, the Dative case, and the imperative mood equip learners for city navigation and hotel bookings. Body vocabulary, the modal sollen, and clothing shopping build real-world confidence, before the Perfekt past tense — with haben or sein, weak and strong participles — and the Präteritum of war and hatte unlock storytelling about life events. The course concludes with a full grammar synthesis, a comprehensive mock examination, and an oral assessment with real-time feedback on pronunciation and structure.
