About the Course

Goal

Take learners from a single sound to telling their own story in हिंदी — one of the world's oldest living languages — through a 12-week journey where every lesson carries something that has survived for thousands of years.

Finding Their Voice in Hindi

The vowels and consonants of Devanagari are learned first for sound, then blended into real words, alongside survival vocabulary, numbers, and polite daily expressions. The Subject + Object + Verb sentence structure and gendered verb forms follow, brought to life through paired conversational practice. Everyday vocabulary, the first Devanagari sentences, and vocabulary games lead to a Module 1 milestone of introducing oneself in 10–15 sentences, before past and future tenses, the five question words, and a classroom interview activity close the module.

Stepping Out into the World

Negation, pronouns, and connectors sharpen everyday communication, before travel, shopping, and directions bring the language into real-life roleplay. Hindi movie dialogues train the ear, daily self-talk builds speaking stamina, and conversation circles mark the module's midpoint. The Present Continuous and Perfect tenses, imperatives for commands and requests, and a recorded 2-minute speech follow, before emotional vocabulary, weather, a Hindi digital keyboard, and short written paragraphs close the module with reflection on how far the language has travelled.

Expressing Your True Self & Mastering the Room

Diary writing becomes a daily habit, growing into fuller personal narratives before extended, unscripted conversations of 5 to 8 minutes. The Passive Voice, Relative Clauses, and the shift between casual and formal register sharpen precision, followed by professional vocabulary, advanced listening to podcasts and news, and a translation and debate session. The course ends with a Hindi film watched without subtitles, a comprehensive course review, and a capstone: a structured 3-minute speech marking graduation.
